Polycom Drives to Extend Its Market Leadership in India and SAARC with Appointment of High-achieving ICT Industry Veteran
Mr. Neeraj Gill ‘hand-picked’ to aggressively exploit opportunities in fast-growing unified communications industry; extend video communications market leadership
Polycom, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLCM), the global leader in telepresence, video and voice communications solutions, today announced the appointment of Mr. Neeraj Gill (MBA, B.Eng.) as Managing Director – India and SAARC, effective immediately. Mr. Gill will be responsible for guiding Polycom’s business strategy in these territories, and for extending its share of key markets – particularly in the fast-growing video conferencing market, where Polycom is the dominant player locally with a share of more than 50 per cent1.
Mr. Gill has over 20 years of management experience in the India ICT market, and has worked with a number of high-profile companies, including Intel and AT&T. He has also worked across multiple geographies in Asia, the United States and United Kingdom. Immediately prior to joining Polycom, Mr. Gill was Managing Director of JDSU India for two years. Mr. Gill is married, with one daughter.
