NTIL sponsored Surat Super Yarn Park Ltd expands its texturised yarn capacity to 1, 51, 000 MTPA from 1,40,000 MTPA

• Nakoda Textile Industries Ltd., the core sponsor, has contributed 18.5%

With the textile industry set for a major change in its operational and business environment, Nakoda Textile Industries Ltd., (BSE: 521030), the largest manufacturers of FDY (Fully Drawn Yarn) leads the way with an increase in production capacity to 1, 51, 000 MTPA of texturised yarn from 1,40,000 MTPA . The aforesaid expansion is being implemented at Surat Super Yarn Park Ltd (SSYPL) of which NTIL is the main sponsor.

The main purpose of setting up integrated textile parks is to provide the industry with world-class infrastructure facilities for setting up textile units. It has been set up under the government’s scheme for integrated textile parks with the core objective of providing sound infrastructure facilities to small and medium-sized companies.

Speaking on the company’s expansion plan, Mr Babubhai Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of Nakoda textile Industries Ltd., said, “The company is gearing itself up in terms of capacity and quality to capture the upcoming opportunities in the textile field in India. We are expecting to become India’s first fully integrated polyester yarn company after completion of our Rs. 333 crore backward integration, expansion and diversification project”.

He further adds, “We are amongst the largest manufacturers of FDY (Fully Drawn Yarn) which shall be producing 60,000 MTPA of the same on completion of the project.”

Nakoda Textile Industries Ltd., the core sponsor, has contributed 18.5% to the total equity of Rs. 16 Crore of Company. The Park is eligible for grant of Rs. 40 crore from the Government of India (Rs. 24 Crore already received). The Rs. 107 Crore project is being implemented by IL & FS Ltd as Project Management Consultant.
