Life Insurance Council revamps its website

*An initiative to offer updated information, guidance on life insurance

Life Insurance council today announced the launch of its information-packed revamped website – www.lifeinscouncil.org to assist users in providing comprehensive details on the Indian life insurance industry.

The updated site features useful information for consumers, students, professionals & Insurance companies. The site would guide visitors on various channels to buy an insurance policy as per their need.

The site also offers comprehensive information such as statistical data on sales of different insurance plans, FII flow in the insurance sector & latest fund Net Asset Value (NAV) to bring more transparency in the life insurance industry for its customers & industry professionals.

“Our goal is to enhance consumer awareness by empowering them with latest information on insurance industry and simplify ways to seek appropriate and need-based life insurance solutions,” said Mr. S. B. Mathur, Secretary General of Life Insurance Council.

The website has been revamped with comprehensive and updated information – aided by the last 12 months of analysis, research, design and programming to give it a more robust look and feel.

We will update the website regularly with specific data being made available for all customers related to the Indian Life Insurance Industry, Mr. Mathur added.

About Life Insurance Council – Life Insurance Council is a statutory body under the Insurance Act 1938 and the Council is the industry association representing 21 life insurance companies operating in India.

Since nationalization of life insurance industry in 1956 there was no felt role for the Council. On the opening up of the sector the Council was revived through an order from the IRDA.

Council’s mission is to play a significant and complementary role in transforming India’s life insurance industry into a vibrant, trustworthy and strong sector contributing to the overall development of the economy.
