Bulldog and Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution to captivate Indian TV viewers with the Ultimate Social Experiment

Bulldog Media & Entertainment (Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?) adds another innovative programming feather to its hat, this time from the Twentieth Century Fox stable. Having entered into a co–production with SOL, producers of Rakhi ka Swyamvar for the popular reality show “Beauty and the Geek”, Bulldog Media & Entertainment promises the same excitement and anticipation as the international format that continues to be a huge success wherever it has been launched around the world.

In Announcing Bulldog Media & Entertainment as the exclusive rights holder for the Indian version of “Beauty and the Geek,” Mr. Akash Sharma, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Bulldog Media & Entertainment said, “We are here to make the popular adage come true that ‘opposites attract’! The show will be created keeping in mind the sensitivities of the Indian audiences but will however not lack any of the excitement, enthusiasm and anticipation of the international format. The original premise of “Beauty and the Geek” consists of a group of Beauties (young women who have relied primarily on their looks) and a group of Geeks (young men who have relied primarily on intellect rather than social aptitude or looks) who are paired up to compete as couples for a shared prize. With challenges thrown in, each level becomes increasingly more challenging and extremely exciting.

“Beauty and the Geek” is one of television’s largest international format franchises with 17 local versions to date. Other licensed territories include Belgium, Bulgaria, Colombia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Italy, Mexico, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Turkey, and the UK. With its launch into the Indian market, the series will be making its debut in the Asia region.
